Forget everything you thought you knew about cruising. Virgin Voyages isn’t just a new cruise line – it’s a whole new way to sail. Adults-only cruises with no children’s noise, no set dinner times, no buffet, no cruise card… just freedom, design, cocktails and buzzing nights. Oh, and bubbly. Lots and lots of bubbly.
Virgin Voyages was dreamed up by the legendary Sir Richard Branson – yes, the man whose other ship is a spaceship. The brand started out as a record label and today it’s everywhere, from airlines to space travel. Virgin has always been about rethinking the usual way of doing things – and this is no exception.
A playground for grown-ups – 18+ only
Only adults can board Virgin Voyages ships. No screaming kids, no queues for the waterslide – just you, the sunset, a DJ, a glass of bubbly and the endless sea. The ship feels like a stylish boutique hotel meeting a cool beach club – only it happens to float.

What’s different – and better – on Virgin Voyages?
Even boarding is an experience: a DJ, a welcome committee and a relaxed but energetic atmosphere. You don’t get a cruise card here – instead you wear a 100% recycled smart wristband that takes care of everything.
There are no annoying tannoy announcements and no compulsory dinners – it’s all about you. The restaurants are open throughout the day: book ahead, or just walk in when you’re hungry.
There are no drink vouchers or unlimited drinks packages in the bars – instead you can pre-load a bar tab and get a $50 bonus on top. All soft drinks, water, coffee, tea, Wi-Fi, gratuities and fitness classes are included in the fare.

Food and drink on Virgin
There’s no buffet on Virgin’s ships. Instead, 20+ cool, distinctive restaurants are waiting, where everything is cooked fresh to order. And yes, they’re all included in the fare – no hidden supplements or service charges.
The choice is incredible – here are a few examples:
- Test Kitchen is a futuristic dining experience where surprise dishes keep arriving.
- Gunbae is a Korean BBQ where you cook and party at the same time.
- Razzle Dazzle dazzles with vegetarian, vegan and comfort food (but there’s bacon too, if you want it).
- There’s also Mexican, Italian, Asian, a brunch bar and a street-food-style food hall.
Gluten- or lactose-intolerant, vegan, or managing insulin resistance? You’ll definitely find plenty of variety here.

And it’s not just the food that’s great – the drinks selection is unique too. Basic drinks (water, soft drinks, tea, coffee) are always included, and alcoholic drinks are good value. Virgin works with some of the world’s best-known mixologists to serve genuinely high-quality cocktails and drinks – not overpriced, but real value for money. And gratuities are included too, so you can relax and enjoy whatever you fancy.

Body and soul on Virgin Voyages
All group fitness classes are free: spinning, yoga, meditation, HIIT, boxing… Yes, there’s even a boxing ring on board. If you’d rather unwind, you can soak in the salt bath at Redemption Spa or treat yourself to a vitamin facial. There are sunbeds and hammocks on the sun deck and SUP yoga at the beach club – it really is all about feeling good.

Party, party, party…
The sailaway party kicks off by the pool, with half an hour of free-flowing bubbly. In the evenings there are themed parties: at Red Night everyone wears red, and the Pyjama Party is exactly what you’d expect – and yes, everyone dresses up.
In the evening the ship turns into a floating club: dancing, live DJs, lights and cocktails – it’s no accident it won the Best Nightlife award.
Virgin has reinvented theatre too: there are no classic musicals – instead you’ll find interactive, pop-up-style shows that sometimes feel more like a concert than a play. Dancers often pop up from among the audience, there’s no fixed seating, and the shows are fresh, energetic and full of surprises.

Virgin Voyages destinations
Mediterranean cruises
With Virgin you can explore the Mediterranean’s iconic cities, setting sail from Barcelona, Rome or Athens – Santorini, Mykonos, Dubrovnik, Sicily and Ibiza are just a few of the many stops.
Some itineraries take in Rome, Florence, the Cinque Terre and the French Riviera – Cannes or Ajaccio – while on others you sail from Italy to Ibiza and back to Barcelona in a fiery 7- or 9-night seaside whirl. Some routes even hold surprises in Portugal, Morocco or along the British coast (sailing from Portsmouth).

Caribbean cruises
Virgin Voyages’ Caribbean itineraries are lively and stylish, made for adults, and guarantee a true beach experience – with everything included in the fare. Setting sail from Miami or San Juan, you can discover colourful towns and tropical islands: the mouth-watering Mexican vibe of Playa del Carmen or Cozumel, the turquoise waters of Roatán’s coral reefs and the Dominican mountains of Puerto Plata are all sure to impress. Choose from 6–8 or even 10–11-day itineraries, with destinations such as Grand Turk, St Croix, Tortola, Bridgetown, Castries and Martinique.

Bimini Beach Club – Virgin’s private paradise
One of the highlights of the Caribbean itineraries is the Bimini Beach Club in the Bahamas – adults only, with a beautiful beach, a huge lagoon pool, a DJ, sunbeds, shady cabanas, and yes: everything’s included here too. The vibe is a bit St Tropez, a bit Ibiza, 100% Virgin.
Imagine the dazzling white sand of the Caribbean, the party atmosphere of Ibiza and the elegance of St Tropez – all child-free, crowd-free and with no extra charge. That’s the Bimini Beach Club, Virgin Voyages’ own private beach club in the Bahamas, which is more a way of life than just a place to relax on the beach.
This stretch of shore is an extension of the luxury you enjoy on board. No pricey entry fee, no paid sunbeds – everything is included. At its heart is a huge lagoon-style pool of nearly 600 square metres, surrounded by sunbeds, hammocks and loungers. If you like, you can book a VIP cabana, or simply lie back and enjoy the sunshine. Meanwhile DJs keep the mood going – there really is no wrong way to relax here.

Wi-Fi is free, of course, and if you want to move about a bit, frequent breezy trams run between the ship and the beach. There are refreshing showers, changing rooms and lockers if you want to change into something more beachy.
The food? Freshly made, Caribbean-inspired dishes – with gluten-free, vegan and vegetarian options, and of course also included, along with unlimited soft drinks and water.
So the Bimini Beach Club isn’t just a stop on your cruise – it’s a day in paradise you’ll never forget. Here, it really is all about you.

North America and Alaska
Virgin Voyages isn’t just for lovers of the tropics – if the iconic US coastline or the untouched Alaskan wilderness is calling, you can sail there in style too. Setting off from Miami and New York, you’ll head off on fantastic sightseeing adventures: enjoy the Florida sunshine, explore the historic streets of Charleston or Boston, or take in Canada’s east coast on a colourful autumn voyage. And if you’re after something really special, the Alaska itinerary is unforgettable: glaciers, whale watching, rugged landscapes, glorious sunsets and fresh air await. On board you’ll enjoy the familiar Virgin vibe – only this time with pine forests and ice floes in the background.

Cabins on Virgin – smart, sustainable and comfortable
The cabins are designed to be good for more than just sleeping. You can control the lighting, the air conditioning and even the curtains from a smart tablet. The sofa turns into a double bed in a few moves, the design is minimalist but stylish, the toiletries are sustainable, and when you’re not in the cabin, the system automatically switches to energy-saving mode.
