Celestyal has two ships, and in this article we introduce one of them: Celestyal Journey.
Capacity: 1,260 guests
Decks: 12, with 8 bars, 7 restaurants and 2 pools on board.
Launched: 1994 (refurbished in 2023)
Celestyal Journey was built in 1994 for Holland America Line. She had several owners before Celestyal bought her in 2023 and gave her a complete refurbishment and technical upgrade.

Escape the everyday on board Celestyal Journey and enjoy Greek hospitality, sunshine and amazing sights, whether you have a long weekend or, if you have more time, a whole fortnight!
What makes Celestyal cruises special is that the ships can call at two ports in a single day, so even a short cruise lets you see a huge amount. Another plus: even on the shorter 2-, 3- and 4-day cruises the ship returns to the port it left from, which makes it easier to plan your trip and book flights.

Restaurants and bars on Celestyal Journey
As well as the buffet, Celestyal Journey has several speciality restaurants serving mouth-watering dishes. In the grill restaurant, wonderfully seasoned Greek flavours will win over any food lover, while Pink Moon serves Asian dishes, with plenty of vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options. Smoked Olive offers authentic Mediterranean food and has a separate area reserved for suite guests.

There are 8 bars on Celestyal Journey. One of them, Rays, is reserved for suite guests, with sunloungers and cabanas for maximum comfort and relaxation 🙂

Services on Celestyal Journey
The spa takes up an entire deck and offers a wide range of services, including manicures, pedicures, a hairdresser, treatments and massages. This is also where you’ll find the gym, and if you’d rather work out in the fresh air, there’s a running track too.
You definitely won’t get bored, day or night, if you choose Celestyal Journey: live shows, entertainment, dance lessons, a circus show with acrobats and aerialists, and a casino make sure everyone has a great time.

Our overview of Celestyal Cruises goes into more detail about the services on Celestyal ships, such as the Concierge Service, which is also available to suite guests on Celestyal Journey.
